New to climbing or climbed before but new to Freestone? This class is for you! This two hour class is offered once a month on the second Friday. In this class, we will cover climbing types and grades, different climbing holds, bouldering and falling, autobelays, and general climbing and footwork.
Intro To Top Rope ClassReady to take your climbing to new heights? This class is geared towards the climber who is looking to learn and master the fundamentals of top rope climbing. This class covers everything from proper belay technique using the PBUS method to tying in using the figure 8 knot.
Top Rope To Lead ClassExpand your rope climbing potential by learning how to lead climb in the gym. This class is a great option for a top rope climber wanting to learn how to lead for the first time or as a refresher for those looking to build more confidence in their rope climbing skills. This class covers everything from proper lead belaying with an assistance breaking device to efficient clipping and falling techniques. Must be top rope certified prior to taking this class.
Gym To Crag ClassExpand your lead climbing potential by learning all the additional skill required to sport climb outside! This class is a great option for the lead climber who learned how to climb indoors and is now ready to transition to the outdoors or as a refresher for the lead climber wanting more confidence in their outdoor skills. This class covers everything from clipping bolts, anchor/route cleaning, and setting up a top rope anchor. Climbers must be lead certified by Freestone prior to taking this class.
